Period irregularity may be normal when menstruation first starts. The body needs time to get regulated as well. Once you’ve passed the adolescent years, however, your periods should become regular. If not, your cycle might be a sign of infertility, or it could be a sign that you are ovulating.

Specific signs and symptoms of the period that point to a reproductive problem include:

  • Intermenstrual spotting that is uneven
  • Severe and agonising menstrual cramps
  • alterations in the number of bleeding days
  • A lot of blood, If you’re older,

Once you are 35, your fertility rates start to decline. Both men and women experience this. In actuality, the chance of infertility in women peaks around age 35 and rises thereafter. A 30-year-old  woman has a 20% chance of becoming pregnant in any given month. A woman over 40 has a 5%  probability of becoming pregnant. A miscarriage is also more likely to occur in women over 35.

Male fertility is impacted by age, just as it is for females. According to research, bearing children is less likely if your sperm is of poor quality. There is an increase in sperm with DNA damage.  Congenital diseases and the transfer of genetic illnesses may also contribute to infertility.

3) Dimension

Your fertility is greatly influenced by your weight. Being overweight or underweight might make it difficult to become pregnant. Furthermore, one of the most prevalent preventable causes of subfertility may be obesity.

Men with a BMI of under 20 have been reported to have reduced sperm counts and production.  Additionally, testosterone levels and sperm counts are lower in obese men.

If you are having trouble losing extra weight, consult your doctor. Many hormonal infertility factors can result in weight-related issues. For instance, PCOS in women increases the risk of becoming obese and can lead to infertility.

4) Rate of miscarriages

A woman who often miscarries can also need assistance conceiving. In relation to the way we live today, miscarriage is getting more and more prevalent. It happens in  10 to 20% of pregnancies. A small percentage of women experience three consecutive miscarriages.  If you’ve had two consecutive miscarriages, consult your doctor.

Important ideas to keep in mind

To increase fertility, women should follow the advice listed below:

1) Quit smoking

Smoking during pregnancy has a number of harmful impacts, mainly on the health of the baby. If you’re worried about raising a family and you smoke, stop right away.

2) Avoid drinking alcohol

Lower fertility may be the result of heavy alcohol use. And drinking will harm the health of the growing fetus in any case. A pregnant woman should abstain from drinking.
